St. Malo was a beautiful place for a conference. It also didn't hurt that they had great seafood, crepes, and wine. Many of us were amazed by the tides. They went in and out a couple of times a day, creating a wide beach then completely taking it away.
Logs stuck in the sand help to break waves and protect the wall when the tide is in...
This pool catches water when the tide is in. In one of the later pictures you can just see the diving board above the water...
Nope, I have no explanation for this...
We questioned whether or not these tall ships were operational or if they were just there for show. This one left a few minutes later...
