Foggy Morning Stroll

A stroll around the farm on a foggy spring morning...

My pant legs were soaked and my shoes were wet the rest of the weekend...

The old oak tree has become a new ash tree...

The spring leaves aren't as far along as they are in Virginia...

Toad Catchin'

My brother's pond was full of toads last weekend...

Some of them were giving each other piggy back rides. ;-)

Bear having a staring contest with a toad. The toad won...

There were a few newts at the party too...

This toad was enjoying his swim...

Isaac was a toad-catchin-machine. At one point he was holding 3 toads that he had caught and was going after a fourth...

Grant got into the toad wrangling too...

If I float out here, maybe they wouldn't be able to grab me...

If I linger in slime, maybe they won't want to grab me...

Uh. yeah...

Kev pointed out there was a toad hiding under a leaf. I thought he was referring to the one on the left, but he was talking about the one on the right...

Isaac was interested in a dead, dried up newt...

Here you can see the power behind Isaac's toad catchin' skills. He was wearing frog boots!. He wasn't ready to go back in the house...

Amazingly, no toads were harmed during this event and no humans fell into the pond. I think one dog was slightly embarrassed about having a toad on his head. And he did "fall" into the pond at one point.
